August 16 @ 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm EDT

Crafting a Meaningful Ceremony

Planning a wedding? Learn about the Jewish elements of a wedding ceremony and the deeper meaning behind rituals like breaking the glass, standing under a chuppah, circling seven times and more. Get creative ideas from 18Doors Boston Community Director Molly Kazin Marshall who had not one, but two Jewish-interfaith weddings during the pandemic.

We’ll also discuss special considerations in this unique time of Zoom weddings, and connect you to useful wedding planning tools available through 18Doors.

As Boston’s Community Director for the Boston Innovation Hub, it’s Molly’s passion to connect interfaith couples in the Boston area to resources and tools unlocking aspects of Jewish culture and traditions. With a passion for food and drink, Molly enjoys visiting the numerous breweries in the Boston area, plus baking and cooking at home. Kugel is one of her favorite foods, and is one of the few ways she will tolerate raisins. She especially loves hearing her friends who have never had kugel try to pronounce the word.

18Doors believes our community is enriched by the diversity of its members. We welcome everyone, and invite racially diverse and LGBTQ individuals to participate in our programming.
